The Beach Glass Series celebrates the way water, sand, sun and fire remove all of our sharp edges. Nature brings rebirth.

The Summer of 2010 was the first Summer that I painted on the beach in Michigan. I had no idea what I was doing.

I took illustration board and watercolor palettes to the beach and I began to paint what I felt and observed. I knew that my life needed to change and that returning to play and to joy was an absolute necessity.

In playing and painting I rediscovered what I loved and understood that I could represent that love visually with paint in a way that communicated to others. The Beach Glass Series is a record of the treasures of life that I cherish.
